TRY LOW CARB FOR 3 DAYS!

Updated: Mar 26, 2021

Low Carb Meal Plan

As we are all hopefully approaching the end of quarantine, we may have adapted new eating patterns for the better, or the worst. Recently, in hopes to unwind what our stressed eaten and snack filled pandemic has brought us, Ross and I decided to go low carb. In 2 weeks I was able to shed off 6 of the 10 pounds I had gained since the same time last year. Low carb sounds scarier then it actually is. Since then I have continued this low carb lifestyle during the week while treating myself on the weekends. For me, this balance makes me feel the perfect mix of in-control and satisfied. Remember, we don't want to chase fad diets, we want to find a dietary pattern that works for us long term and is comfortable. Here is an example of 3 days in the life of our low carb world:

DAY 1

BREAKFAST: Grilled vegetable and egg whites or full egg omelet with a 1/4 avocado.

SNACK: 1/4 cup cashews

DINNER: 4oz ground turkey with sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms

DAY 2

BREAKFAST: Mix 1 scoop hemp powder or protein powder, 1 egg, vanilla extract, 1 stevia packet or tsp of honey, a splash of non dairy milk and make a pancake or waffle. Top with a drizzle of nut butter

SNACK: 1 cup berries

SNACK: 1 tbsp peanut butter and celery

DAY 3

DINNER: 4oz beef patty on a lettuce wrap with tomato, onions and sliced pickle. Side of coleslaw

Remember, this is a typical day of what we eat. We are not nutritionists or dietitians. We simply want to share what works for us in hopes it works for you!
